Fees for Therapy Services
My fees for counseling and therapy services are in line with those of other licensed psychologists in the Denver metro area, who typically charge from $100-$150 per session.
Insurance Coverage for Psychotherapy
If you’re fortunate enough to have medical insurance coverage, it may cover a limited number of psychotherapy sessions, but it may also dictate which psychologists you are able to see. Be sure to check your policy for specific details about coverage for therapy / counseling.
If you do file a health insurance claim, please be aware that the insurance company will require that I share information about your diagnosis and treatment. Depending on your situation, maintaining confidentiality about your issues may be more important to you than obtaining reimbursement. For example, some life insurance carriers routinely deny coverage to individuals who have had a diagnosis of depression or bipolar disorder.
Health Insurance Reimbursement / FSA and HSA Reimbursement For Psychotherapy
If you’d like to file a health insurance claim for counseling, I’ll provide you with the appropriate documentation. You can also use money from your health savings account (HSA) or flexible spending accounts (FSA) to pay for therapy.
Fees for therapy services are due at the time of your session.
